Video to Blog Conversion
Convert YouTube videos into SEO-optimized blog articles with AI.
How Video-to-Blog Works
ReachSurge can convert any YouTube video into a comprehensive, SEO-optimized blog article. The process:
- Transcript extraction — Automatically pulls the video transcript
- AI article generation — Gemini creates a structured article from the transcript (not a copy — original content inspired by the video)
- GEO optimization — Claude refines the article for AI citation readiness
- Image generation — AI creates a featured image + inline images
- Quality gate — GEO score must meet minimum threshold
How to Use
- Go to Videos in the sidebar
- Select your website from the dropdown
- Paste a YouTube URL (e.g.,
https://youtube.com/watch?v=...) - Click Convert — this takes 30-60 seconds
- The generated article appears as a draft in your pages

- 800-2,000 word article with headings, bullet points, and FAQ section
- Featured image (1200×630 WebP) generated by AI
- Inline image inserted into the content
- VideoObject + Article schema for SEO
- Meta description and SEO title automatically written

FAQ
Can I convert private or age-restricted videos? No, only public YouTube videos with available captions/transcripts can be converted.
Does it copy the video transcript? No — the AI generates original content inspired by the video's topics. The output is a restructured, SEO-optimized article, not a transcript dump.
How many videos can I convert? Each plan has a separate monthly video allowance because video conversions are more expensive than plain article generation (AI transcript + draft + GEO refine + cover image):
- Starter — 5 videos per month
- Growth — 20 videos per month
- Enterprise — 200 videos per month
Up to 10 URLs per batch request. Each conversion also counts as one article against your monthly page allowance, so a Starter user converting 5 videos has 195 articles left that month. Caps reset on the 1st of each month (UTC). The dashboard shows your current usage at /billing and on the /videos page header.
What happens if I hit the cap mid-batch? The first N videos that fit your remaining headroom convert successfully. The rest come back in the same response marked as "Skipped — monthly video cap reached" so you can retry them next month or upgrade your plan.
Why a separate cap on videos? A video conversion runs Supadata transcript + Gemini draft + Claude GEO refine + Imagen cover image. That pipeline costs about 5× a plain article. Bounding the video cap separately keeps every plan's pricing sustainable and lets us invest the savings in better citation-quality models on the GEO refine step.
